Associate, Operational Risk with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Advise, challenge, inform line teams on recommended ways to mitigate risk and review action items to ensure that risk is being sufficiently addressed. Participate in regular risk meetings to review exception landscape across your business units, asking probing questions to establish potential market, client, and other risks which may be contained within our workflows. Requires: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: risk frameworks including root cause analysis, risk exposure, and remediation action planning; analyzing regular risk and suspense reports to identify control gaps; utilizing business intelligence tools including Alteryx and Tableau to identify trends and themes with risk and controls; advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas; and working in Operations and with sales and trading.
