Job Description:

We are hiring for a Senior Marketing Communications Associate - Events to plan, support, and execute internal and external events and marcom activations. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented team player-someone who takes initiative to figure things out and is willing to wear multiple hats to get the job done well. This person will have exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal, experience planning tradeshows and meetings, and broad marcom savvy.This role will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and will work very closely with other members of the marketing and sales teams on downstream marketing and communications to enhance the relationship between the customer, the products and the Ortho Development - brand. What you'll do:Duties include but are not limited to the following:Events

• Create strategy and planning process for all in-person and virtual events, including large industry trade shows, regional professional society conferences, corporate visits and trainings, webinars and other special events.
• Manage and coordinate event logistics, including but not limited to vendor negotiation and contracts, venue selection, travel, accommodations, catering, budgeting, show registration, AV equipment, booth and display design, booth setup and tear down, promotional materials, on-site services, shipping, lead acquisition and reporting.
• Oversee the maintenance and storage of all on-site tradeshow assets and collateral between events.
• Calculate an appropriate budget and execute within it. Ensure vendor invoices are processed timely and accurately.
• Develop project plans and timelines to prioritize and track events. Refine/implement processes and best practices.
• Communicate regularly with all stakeholders prior to events to ensure expectations are understood, deliverables are on time and attendees have the information they need to be successful.
• Organize and host virtual meetings and webinars.Marketing Communications
  • Assist marcom and product team with various downstream marketing activations, including but not limited to coordination and design of marketing assets for medical education, events, product launches and other marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and ensure communications are on-brand and appropriately aligned to support sales objectives.
  • Work in close collaboration with the product management team to synthesize and refine technical product-specific messaging for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with cross-departmental teams, customers and other key industry targets.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field required
    • 3+ years' professional work experience in trade show, conference, and special event planning
    • 3+ years' professional work experience in marketing or communications
    • Experience managing programs/meetings on virtual platforms
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Demonstrated strength in writing and editing
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
    • Willing to travel a few times a year (nationally)
