opportunity for you as our Public Relations Coordinator. As the
Public Relations Coordinator, you will:Write, proof, lay out,
format, and edit a wide range of communication materials, including
fact sheets, brochures, website content, blogs, awards,
newsletters, social media posts, speeches, media releases, reports,
slide presentations, talking points, and more.Develop written copy
for creative resource materials in both print and digital
formats.Develop, manage, and implement strategies to elevate Utah
Transit Authority (UTA)'s thought leadership within the community
and industry with executive leadership and trustees.Ghostwrite
various content on behalf of the organization and executive
leadership, including quotes, social media posts, blogs, podcast
outlines, talking points, videos, speeches, emails, presentations,
etc., to boost public confidence in UTA's direction and
leadership.Identify, pitch, and secure executive speaking
opportunities, board service, industry presentations, publication
features, awards, and similar opportunities to enhance UTA's
community support and professional reputation.Lead initiatives and
collaborate with the media team to maintain a positive public image
and ensure consistent brand messaging, writing style, and voice
across all external communications.Serve as a public information
officer with the media, as directed, communicating messages on
behalf of the agency to the public.This job is not eligible for
telework. Requires regular and predictable attendance during set
daytime hours Monday through Friday in the Salt Lake City UTA
Frontlines Headquarters or field assignments.May require infrequent
holiday, weekend, or tasks and event support, with advance
notice.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/TRAINING:Bachelor's Degree
in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or
related field.EXPERIENCE:Three (3) to five (5) years related work
experience with demonstrated competency in public relations,
advertising and marketing, written and oral communications, and/or
government, media, and social media relations. Experience in
executive marketing, social media thought leadership, and
leadership brand management. Knowledge:Associated Press Style
strongly preferred.Understanding of Utahs political, nonprofit,
media, and mobility/transportation stakeholder landscape. Applied
knowledge of ghostwriting techniques and thought leadership best
practices.Strategies and channels for executive communication
internal and external, and Utah political
landscape.Skills:Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading
skills with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing
styles.Media event and delegate presentation planning and
execution.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
presentations.Proficiency in social media and online platforms for
thought leadership and executive communication strategies,
including LinkedIn, newsletters, podcasts, video, and blogs.Strong
attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free
content.Experience as a public information officer or media
spokesperson preferred.Abilities & CompetenciesAdapt writing style
