progress and make a difference. Job Description: Copia is seeking a
Manager, EPC Contracts & Document Controls to provide key support
to execute on a multi-gigawatt pipeline of projects under
pre-construction planning or in construction. This role requires
experience in the Energy Industry, with a plus focus on
utility-scale photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems, or gas
generators. The Manager, EPC Contracts & Document Controls will
report directly to the Managing Director, Project Management and
Procurement, working closely with Copia’s asset management, energy
markets, legal, and finance teams in an individual contributor
capacity. Key Responsibilities : · Reporting to the Managing
Director, Project Management and Procurement, overall
responsibility to support the EPC team with EPC contract
negotiations, execution, and compliance, ensuring broad
collaborative communication is consistent to all necessary
stakeholders. · Pre-construction contracts management includes
working closely with engineering, construction, commercial, and
legal teams in tracking of contract and exhibit revisions to and
from EPC contractors, ensuring adequate organization of documents
throughout negotiations. · Close collaboration with project
managers in maintaining document control of both internal and
external data, including support in facilitating transmittals,
submittals, and RFI responses. · Working closely with legal,
commercial, and PM team to manage any EPC Contract Amendments
through negotiation and execution. · Proactively identify, assess,
and mitigate contractual and project risks, working closely with
the project management team and legal department to safeguard the
company's interests. · Manage the process to collect and input
contract compliance requirements from SME/Deal Lead into a Contract
Matrix and inputted into EPC compliance tools (Bluepoint). · Manage
EPC Contract work order/LNTP issuances through execution in close
coordination with EPC team, legal, and commercial. · Work closely
with Legal and PM team to track all notices from contractors (Force
Majeure, change in law, etc) to ensure socialization with
appropriate stakeholders. · Attend EPC weekly & monthly meetings to
support PMs, be available to speak to any EPC Contract
questions/topics, and assist as needed the EPCm and PM teams in
Contract documentation (MC/SC certs, QA/QC books, etc). · Use
Procore to be available to respond to Contractual RFIs. · Manage
the collection of any labor statistics (union utilization)
requested. · Support and assist EPCm and PM teams in risk register
reporting, change order tracking, and management of execution of
change orders in close coordination with FP&A and Capital
Markets teams. · Manage the conveyance of Prevailing Wage data from
Vendors/Contractors to PWA auditors, track and manage any needed
remediation, work with EPC personnel on any PWA-related
issues/clarifications, and report out to the PM and EPC teams the
results of recurring Auditor reports (monthly, quarterly). · Assist
in the management of Lessons Learned Document & Reviews after each
phase of a project's lifecycles & assist in the implementation of
lessons learned & updates into the EPC Agreement Exhibit Templates
(inclusive of Tracking items for discussion, working with subject
matter experts for updates, tracking version control). · Work
collaboratively with the PM team in maintaining and organizing all
project documentation within Procore and SharePoint, including
drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and change
orders. · Implement and enforce document control procedures aligned
with company standards and project requirements. · Coordinate and
manage all documentation related to project commissioning,
start-up, and final handover to the operations team, ensuring
comprehensive records for future operations and maintenance. ·
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for contract
management efficiency, document turnaround times, and contract
compliance rates. · Other duties as assigned. What We Look For: ·
Exceptional organizational, communication, presentation,
decision-making, analytical, and time management skills. · 3-5
years of experience in Contracts and document management in support
of utility-scale power generation projects. · Proficiency in
Procore, SharePoint, and specific contract lifecycle management
(CLM) platforms. · Able to demonstrate experience dealing
successfully with peers, subordinates, management, and unaffiliated
third parties. · Certification in contract management (e.g., IACCM,
NCMA) is desirable. · Ability to communicate effectively in verbal
and written correspondence. · Highly driven with problem-solving
abilities, integrity, and a strong work ethic. · Proactive mindset
with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ·
Ability to work effectively within a rapidly changing organization.
· Demonstrated collaborative partnerships with peers, management,
and vendors. · Resourcefulness and polite persistence. Minimum
Qualifications : · 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably
in the renewable energy industry · Bachelor’s degree preferred ·
Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced
proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel · Experience with project
management software · Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, UT or
Lake Oswego, OR office a minimum of 3 days per week. · Ability to
