The Role You will be part of a team that builds platforms (Infrastructure and automation) and enables delivering data science projects. It's a cross functional team, and your area is MLOps/DevOps. You will have some support duties, but these are restricted to work hours/days or extreme escalation situations. As part of the ML Platform team, you will be expected work side by side to creatively identify, design, and implement platform solutions in AWS that reduce operational burden. You will be expected to achieve this by following the principles of "infrastructure as code", leveraging your knowledge of ML workflows & tooling, and building infrastructure, integrations, tooling, and services in collaboration both within and across teams . -Automation and reduction of human effort and error are part of the DNA of the team. We are more interested in your ability to understand operational needs, in cheerfully helping to resolve problems, and in your desire and ability to improve your skills and help others succeed.That said, you will need to come with experience related to operating production systems.

• Experience supporting teams across regions
• Experience designing or operating highly available production platforms using infrastructure & configuration as code
• Good at collaborating and communicating
• Able to code or script tooling to enable automation within the platformTo succeed you will also need:
  • A degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • A strong desire to learn how to operationally scale data scienceExperience in the following areas is helpful, but expertise in all of them is not required or expected, though you should know a few
    • AWS architecture and networking
    • Data Processing in the large (Spark, Python ecosystem)
    • ETL Pipelines
    • Familiarity with Data Science or Machine Learning
    • Familiarity with Distributed Systems
    • Highly Secure Systems
    • Kubernetes and Containers
    • Python programming
    • Linux system administration
