Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Electronics
Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed
inspections and testing of finished electronic and
electromechanical products to ensure compliance with quality
standards and customer specifications. This role plays a critical
part in preventing defective products from reaching customers and
requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and
adherence to quality systems. Key Responsibilities Perform final
visual and functional inspections of electronic and
electromechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with specified
standards (e.g., IPC-A-610). Read and interpret schematics,
assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions
to verify correct component placement, polarity, and overall
assembly. Utilize precision measuring and inspection tools,
including calipers, micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and
automated optical inspection (AOI) systems. Identify, document, and
report non-conforming materials or workmanship issues; initiate
corrective actions and assist with root cause analysis. Verify that
all rework and repairs are completed correctly and meet quality
standards prior to product release. Accurately document inspection
results, test data, and traceability records in the quality
management or ERP system. Adhere to quality management system
requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100), safety policies, and
electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures. Communicate clearly and
effectively with production, engineering, and management regarding
quality issues, trends, and improvement opportunities. Support
continuous improvement initiatives and assist in developing and
refining inspection methods and quality procedures. Qualifications
& Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or GED
required; technical training or certification preferred Prior
experience in electronics inspection or quality control preferred
Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610) strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation Proficiency
with electronic testing and inspection equipment Strong written and
verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as
