enthusiast who wants to lead a new and growing team of Employee
Relations Partners, we want you to join our team. Swire is seeking
a Senior Manager, Employee Relations to join our Human Resources
Team. As a Senior Manager, Employee Relations you will lead a team
of talented Employee Relations Partners who are responsible for
partnering with our leaders on corrective actions and performance
improvement plans. You will also lead and guide the Employee
Relations Partners through investigations into employee complaints
or concerns, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a fast and
fair manner. The Senior Manager, Employee Relations also leads and
manages the Company's leave administration and reasonable
accommodation processes, through the help of a Leave Administrator.
The role also seeks to form relationships and alignment through
partnership with other areas of the Human Resources team, including
HR Business Partners, Labor Relations, as well as other teams
throughout the organization. This role reports directly to the
Director, HR Compliance. Responsibilities:A driver of Swire

its employees:Advocates for and supports the Company's Employee
Relations philosophy, ensuring the fair and equitable treatment of
all employees;Leads a talented team of Employee Relations
Partners;Designs and drives consistent performance management and
disciplinary processes that foster fairness, communication, and
identifies opportunities for an employee's performance
improvement;Serves as the escalation point for difficult
performance management and discipline issues;Ensures Employee
Relations Partners conduct fair and consistent internal
investigations, as well as serves as a coach and advisor to
difficult investigations;Conducts internal investigations into
employee complaints and concerns, when needed;Creates and supports
the Employee Relations case management system, including analysis
of data to identify trends and opportunities to develop our
leaders;Supports training efforts driven by the Employee Relations
team that are focused on helping our leaders through the
performance management processAn advocate for our employees
requiring leave and reasonable accommodations:Partners with and
supports our Leave Administrator responsible for handling all
employee leaves and reasonable accommodations in a compliant and
consistent manner;Helps identify improvements to the company's
leave administration and reasonable accommodation processes,
including improvements to policy and improvements to our
relationship with our third party leave providerServes as a subject
matter expert regarding complex leave and reasonable accommodation
issues A developer of improved processes and capabilities:Manages
and supports the Employee Relations case management system,
including analysis of data to identify trends and opportunities to
develop our leaders;Partners with HR leadership on improvements to
company policies;Seeks alignment and fosters relationships with
other areas of the business, including Safety, Risk, and Finance,
with a focus on improving processes that cross multiple
teams;Fosters excellent communication and ongoing partnership with
HR Business Partner team and Labor Relations team that drives
improved processes and takes advantage of proactive opportunities
TravelTravels to Swire facilities approximately 10% of the time to
conduct internal investigations or for other needs. Knowledge,
skills, and abilities to be successful in this position:Bachelors
degree in Human Resources or related field 8+ years in a
professional human resources role 3+ years of relevant employee
relations experience 2+ years in a leadership role managing a team
of HR professionals Expert level knowledge of employee relations
best practices and federal employment laws (Title VII, FMLA, ADA,
Workers Compensation, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn
multiple state employment laws Experience conducting internal
investigations with excellent understanding of best practices
Experience handling or advising on employee leaves and conducting
the reasonable accommodation process Ability to analyze data or
metrics and make recommendations that are well supported by the
numbers Experience developing training for managers Experience
developing best practice policies and procedures Ability to
communicate clearly during difficult conversations and reduce
tension Experience building new processes and managing through
ambiguityExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to
build relationships with leaders and others within the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to
prioritize multiple demands and make decisions at a fast pace Good
understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint Preferred Extras:HR certification (PHR, SPHR,
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) Experience presenting training to managers and
other leaders Experience with Dovetail
