JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE:
The Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is responsible for designing a
recruitment process that is faithful to the organization's hiring
strategy. As part of a human resources team, the TAM is responsible
for leading the staffing efforts of the university and building a
strong workforce that adds to the culture and delivers on results.
The TAM has excellent interpersonal skills, is organized and
detail-oriented, remains up to date with employment legislature and
keeps informed hiring best practices. The TAM can assess
candidates' skills, experience and relevant knowledge and compare
them to job requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
--- Design and implement overall recruiting strategy.
--- Monitors employment legislature and keeps informed on hiring
regulations and best practices.
--- Develop and update recruiting statements that reflect the
culture and benefits of the university.
--- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job
board/newspapers/colleges, etc.
--- Source through outreach and recruit candidates by using
databases, social media, LinkedIn, etc.
--- Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
--- Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills,
experience, and aptitudes.
--- Conduct in-person, phone, and Zoom interviews using various
reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter
candidates.
--- Assist in onboarding new employees.
--- Working with the People Operations Manager, provide analytical
and well-documented recruiting reports.
--- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate
relationships during the selection process.
--- Promote university's total rewards philosophy and reputation as
a best place to work.
--- Monitor job opening request form for new posting approvals.
--- Partner with hiring managers on customized recruitment
plans.
--- Administer appropriate pre-employment assessments to final
candidates.
--- Perform reference checks on final candidates.
--- Make recommendations to hiring managers.
--- Coordinate interviews with the hiring managers.
--- Using Paylocity, track and follow candidates through the
interview / hiring process status.
--- Stay current on the university's organization structure and
personnel policies.
--- Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, other
colleges, and industry associations.
--- Actively participate in employee training and development
events, tracking, and ROI
--- Utilize technology and innovation to improve recruiting
practices.
--- Create communication templates, mail merges, and other media as
needed
--- Be an example of the values of the organization and use
mission, vision, and strategic goals as guiding principles in all
recruitment activities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Preferred Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR
Preferred Education:
Bachelors degree
Required experience:
2-3 years - Recruiter, HR Coordinator or similar role; experience
in using HRIS systems preferred
HR knowledge and experience including hiring, compensation, and
employee benefits
