Laboratory TechnicianPrime Labs is a leading PCR Infectious
Disease and Reference Blood laboratory with a 24-hour turnaround
time located in Draper, Utah. We are seeking the BEST OF THE BEST

evenings and weekends.Responsibilities
Complying with the laboratory's
technical, administrative and safety policies and
procedures.Participating in the laboratory's quality assurance
plan, adhering to quality control and preventive maintenance
policies and appropriately documenting these activities.Working as
part of a team to produce repeatable quality results.Maintaining a
clean and organized laboratory space.Following Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).Participating in continuing education according
to accepted laboratory standards.Actively participating in
successful and timely completion of training and competency
assessment as outlined in the laboratory and departmental training
programs.ExpectationsProvides services of both a technical and
non-technical nature in the laboratory service areas. Performs
routine and complex laboratory tests provide physicians with rapid
and accurate laboratory test results. Works under the direction of
the Laboratory Supervisor. Performs waived, moderate, and highly
complex analytic processes without direct supervision. Uses
laboratory procedures and techniques for which he/she is qualified,
trained, and demonstrates competency according to established lab
standard operating procedures (SOPs). Physical And Other
Requirements Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending
spine at the waist. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any
direction. Mobility: The person in this position needs to
occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to
access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Communicate:
Frequently communicate with others. PPE: Biohazard laboratory
environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in
accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
Prime Labs Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance
with all Prime Labs Policies and Procedures. Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull
or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Fine Motor
Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily
with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform
a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and
distance. Color Vision: Perception of and ability to distinguish
colors. Continuing Education: Continual assessment of current
literature and best practices. Qualifications Education
Preferred:Associates Degree in Medical Lab Technician or related
field Bachelor's Degree or better in Medical Laboratory Sciences or
related field Experience Preferred:Previous PCR or high complexity
experienceBachelor's degree in the Clinical or Medical Laboratory
Sciences, Medical Technology, or a Bachelor's degree in the
chemical or biological sciences.Previous clinical laboratory work
experience Licenses & Certifications
