About this role: This Advanced Practice Provider will join our nationally ranked pediatric program at Primary Children's Hospital. This APP will have primary responsibilities on the Inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant & Immunology Service . We treat children, adolescents, and young adults-ranging in age from newborn through mid-20s-with pediatric cancers, non-malignant blood disorders, and immunodeficiencies. Inpatient clinical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assessment and evaluation of patients New patient transplant and immunology consults Development of care plans Management of prescriptions Management and ordering of chemotherapy and infusions Coordination of home care needs Patient and family education Communication with consulting services Coordination of patient follow-up Completion of procedures (to include lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, skin biopsies, and bone marrow harvests) Integration with the multi-disciplinary team to meet patient care needs as appropriate Participation in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, or department research is also expected. Full time and fully benefits-eligible, the inpatient APP schedule does include weekdays, weekends, night coverage, and holiday coverage on a rotating basis. Learn more about our comprehensive benefits package here. What you'll bring: Utah license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Utah State Controlled Substance License Federal DEA Certificate II through V PALS and BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers Prior clinical experience within pediatric hematology, oncology, BMT is highly preferred.
