We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to help further develop and measure the customer experience delivered by our Customer Experience teams. In this role, you will work closely with the Customer Experience team, serving as a thought partner in coordinating and collaborating internally on the design, execution, and measurement of our customer experience. You will be responsible for driving the data and reporting strategy to help achieve our customer experience operational strategy. -
What you'll do:


  • Business Intelligence Experience: Utilize your extensive experience developing and deploying business intelligence solutions, specifically with Looker, to design, develop, and maintain complex analytics and data models.
  • Data Modeling: Apply your deep understanding of data modeling principles to design efficient and scalable data structures, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Advanced SQL Knowledge: Leverage your expertise in SQL to write complex queries, optimize performance, and extract insights from large datasets.
  • Python Proficiency: Utilize your working knowledge of Python to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, as well as to develop custom analytics solutions.
  • Data Landscape: Develop a holistic, deep understanding of the various data sources used for reporting. Identify gaps in existing reporting and propose innovative solutions to bridge those gaps.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead conversations with stakeholders from various departments to understand their analytical requirements, provide insights, and develop tailored business intelligence solutions to support their decision-making processes.
  • Representation in Technical and Non-Technical Forums: Act as a liaison between the data Data Operations team and other departments, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Leadership: Take the lead in driving discussions and providing guidance on best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and helping them develop their technical and analytical skills.
  • Project Management: Manage development sprints and distribute work based on roadmap initiatives and business needs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality BI solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed BI solutions, including data models, workflows, and technical specifications. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date, easily accessible, and serves as a valuable resource for team members and stakeholders

    To be successful in this role, you'll need:

    • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Business Intelligence Developer or in a similar role.
    • Extensive experience with data analysis / visualization tools (i.e., Looker, LookML, Tableau, Power BI, Presto SQL) to develop front-end reports to meet the needs of end-users in a user-friendly way. -
    • Strong proficiency in data modeling techniques and best practices.
    • Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal - with comfort presenting to executive audiences, leading discussion, and synthesizing complex information into concise communications. -
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL and the ability to write complex queries for data analysis and reporting.
    • Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation.
    • Analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills, which require interpreting large amounts of data and its impact to operations, ability to consolidate and tell a story.
    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven track record to synthesize complex information into clear tangible recommendations
    • Proven experience in mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
    • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Agility to navigate through ambiguity - comfortable with establishing new processes when gaps are present.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Fluent in Microsoft and/or Google productivity software

      Pay Transparency Statement -
      This is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco or Lehi office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid -
      The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
