The Director of Learning & Development will be responsible for leading and growing global learning experiences for new hires, managers, and leaders in additional to broad-stroke learning programming for all employees. This position must ensure that we are providing the right learning at the right time for the right employee, regardless as to where they fall within their career. This strategic leader will support corporate strategy, administer the implementation of key initiatives, and design trainings and programs to guide and shape the future of the organization. This position will be required to work collaboratively and in a matrixed environment, driving the development and execution of activities with cross-functional teams to successfully align with company objectives and desired outcomes. Key attributes for success in the role include curiosity, accountability, attention to detail, creative problem solving, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Design, facilitate, and scale creative and inclusive global learning experiences (both virtual and in-person) that align to the culture and drive engagement
  • Work with HR Business Partners and the senior level leaders to create functional development strategies by understanding business needs and translating those needs into creative learning programs and experiential opportunities
  • Partner with senior level business leaders to identify training and development needs and provide holistic solutions to close capability gaps
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and CHRO to develop leadership training, coaching and mentorship programs
  • Proactively interface with the key stakeholders and business teams to understand business changes that that will influence onboarding design and drive future changes or improvements
  • Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs to achieve expected outcomes
  • Develop standard KPI's, metrics, and reporting for evaluating the effectiveness of talent programs and initiatives
  • Partner with HR Business Partner's to create effective employee development plans for high-potential employees and performance plans for underperformers
  • Create a framework for development to ensure leadership, coaching, technical and business acumen are embedded across the business
  • Write communications, plans, and draft other internal content related to employee learning
  • Ensure current and new course are aligned with any compliance needs of the organization

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors' Degree in human resources or relevant field of study
  • 8+ years' Learning & Development experience
  • 5+ years' Human Resources experience
  • Experience in fast paced, global organizations requiring an ability to operate successfully amidst change and transformation
  • Experience in instructional design
  • Experience with LMS platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Previous experience in Consumer Electronics
