Description/Job SummaryNew Diligence Advisors is a multi-line of business financial services firm with a mortgage servicing company, a loan diligence company, a title company, an insurance brokerage and a real estate owned company. There are locations in Houston, TX, Jacksonville, FL, Horsham, PA,Salt Lake CIty, UT,and Dallas, TX. Founded in 2007 to address needs in the mortgage industry, we strive to provide amazing client and borrower experiences.Position Summary: The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for the general management of client relationships; with a focus on client satisfaction, quality performance and product delivery. Will serve as the primary contact for ongoing business and be the point of contact between sales, operations and clients for all ongoing projects and relationships. Will be able to represent all business operations within the Selene Organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the growth of business portfolio using various methods and delivery channels.Provides recommendations and strategies to clients to broaden business opportunities to Selene and clients.Manages and coordinates all client and investor activities with all departments.Responsible for maintaining client satisfaction.Assists in strategic planning for company growth.Manages all client and investor requests with appropriate senior management and developmental involvement.Assists in development of resource capacity plans based on forward thinking business needs and sales pipeline.Recognizes and recommends operations improvements.Continuously reviews and analyzes market trends to forecast industry needs and business opportunities.Stays abreast of changes to federal and state mortgage laws affecting operations.Prepares and presents monthly reports to senior management.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualified candidate must have:Minimum 10 years' experience in residential mortgage space working with large banks, servicers, investment firms & originators.Mortgage operations experience, including closed loan due diligence services, non-performing loan diligence and securitizations. Solid knowledge of capital markets, including Mortgage Backed Securities, Asset Backed Securities and other funding vehicles.Consultative seller with a focus on identifying client needs.Familiarity with the requirements of the ratings agencies and regulatory bodies with respect to a third-party review (TPR) services provider.Analytic creativity, negotiation and problem-solving skills, using a wide range of information and perspective to identify current conditions and needs.Solid understanding of buying and selling process for mortgage portfolios.Exceptional negotiation skills.Excellent client relationship management skills.Ability to be self-sufficient.Strong leadership skills with the ability and experience to educate and influence management, team members and others.Ability to work well under pressure, handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.A high level of confidentiality to protect privacy rights.Effectiveness as a team player.Ability to easily prioritize job duties according to the needs of the company.Strong sense of professionalism and positivity.Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills verbally and through written electronic correspondence.Ability to develop rapport with all levels of associates and establish credibility.Excellent listening skills and the ability to use good judgment.Excellent attention to detailEducation/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S/B.A) or higher from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.Ten years or more relevant experience and/or training required. Experience in working with large companies involved in the mortgage chain. Mortgage operations experience (servicing, due diligence and origination). Must have understanding of the capital markets, particularly Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) and Asset Backed Securities (ABS). Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance rules and regulations. At least five years' experience in supervisory or manager role required.Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of their department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
