OVERNIGHT/GRAVEYARD POSITION.This is not a daytime position.$14.00-$15.63PER HOURGENERAL PURPOSEThe purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all fresh products for the delicatessen.This person will be assisting the chefs in the preparation of chef-prepared salads, and entrees, preparing items for the salad bar, setting up and taking down the salad and soup bars, preparing and packaging sandwiches, receiving and stocking product and providing exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFollows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the delicatessen providesResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the delicatessenConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsEnsures the delicatessen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceDelivers excellent customer service to all customersAssists in preparation of chef-prepared salads, entrees and special ordersSlices, cuts and chops fruits, vegetables and other items to be used in recipesPrepares items for the salad bar; greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon, etc.Mixes salad dressingsMixes to-go dipsAssembling and packaging to-go soups, salads and sandwichesSetup and/or takedown of salad bar and soup barReceiving and stocking of productAssists as needed to ensure the success of the delicatessen as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms other job-related duties as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTSConsistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.A high school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:Ability to learn and use proper knife skillsMust enjoy working with and handling food productsShould have a passion for preparing, cooking and eating good foodCurrent Food Handler s PermitAbility to read and follow a recipeBasic math skills used to double or half a recipeAbility to interpret policies and proceduresExcellent organization and planning skillsMust possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associatesMust possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one s own success as well as the success of your teamMust possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmonsmission and commitment to working collaborativelyContinually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, consistent and forward focusedAbility to work weekends, evenings and holidaysPHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot, cold, slippery and wet conditions.
