$14.00 - $17.25 PER HOURGENERAL PURPOSE:The purpose of this position is to sell coffee and gelato items by providing remarkable customer service.This position will maintain quality standards and product levels of all products at the coffee/gelato bar.This person will be preparing coffee and espresso drinks, serving and sampling gelato, serving baked goods, receiving and stocking product and providing exceptional customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows established departmental and store policies and proceduresEnsures the quality and freshness of all products and services the coffee/gelato bar providesResponsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the coffee/gelato barConfirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad itemsEnsures the coffee/gelato bar and caf area are cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearanceDelivers excellent customer service to all customersPrepares coffee and espresso drinksSamples and serves gelato from the gelato freezerServes baked goodsReceives and stocks product for the coffee/gelato bar and cafCashiers for products purchased at the coffee/gelato barAssists as needed to ensure the success of the Bakery as a wholeMARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs other job-related duties as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Consistent and daily interaction with store associatesConsistent and daily interaction with customersTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.A high school diploma or GED preferred; 1 year of barista experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:Current Food Handler s PermitMust enjoy working with and handling coffee/gelato itemsShould have a passion for preparing, eating and drinking food and beverages, particularly coffee and gelato productsBasic math skills for making changeAbility to interpret policies and proceduresExcellent organization and planning skillsMust possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associatesMust possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one s own success as well as the success of your teamMust possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmonsmission and commitment to working collaborativelyContinually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused and consistentAbility to work weekends, evenings and holidaysPHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot, cold and wet conditions.
