Bach's goal is to maintain its reputation for excellence and quality by employing the most qualified people and encouraging them (and giving them the tools necessary) to do the best job possible.Summary Bach Homes is seeking out a Purchaser that has production homebuilding experience.Purchaser Duties/Responsibilities:Assemble bid packages with all construction documents.Obtain and qualify all bids from subcontractors.Administer all contracts with subcontractors.Administer, negotiate, and implement all change order requests.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.Infrequent travel may be required.Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Purchaser Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be a self-starter, goal oriented, and driven.Conflict-resolution skills.Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.Ability to read construction drawings and understand industry scopes of work.College Degree or related experience in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.At least 2 years of purchasing experience required.
