Job Summary:The Ecommerce Senior Data Analyst will play a critical
role in driving data-driven decision-making across our ecommerce
platforms. This individual will be responsible for analyzing data
from various sources, providing actionable insights, and helping
optimize the online customer journey. The ideal candidate is highly
analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about leveraging data
to improve the e-commerce experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret data from multiple
sources, including website analytics, sales data, and customer
behavior, to uncover trends and insights
- Visualization: Working knowledge of data visualization
techniques (i.e. Power BI, Tableau), working SQL knowledge and
expert ability at leveraging data visualization tools to provide
insights.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and
dashboards to track e-commerce performance, key metrics, and KPIs
(e.g., conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, lifetime
value).
- Customer Journey Optimization: Collaborate with the e-commerce
and marketing teams to identify areas for improvement in the
customer journey, including DTC journey and dropship journey.
Advanced understanding of the drivers of e-commerce business,
especially experienced in measuring and optimizing merchandising
tactics (such as, product variants, product bundling etc.),
customized offers (such as, product promotions, free expedited
shipping etc.) and traffic channel mix to continually improve site
performance.
- Data Management: Develop data models, design integrations, and
create reports for executive leadership and operational decisions.
-Ensure data accuracy and integrity by working closely with IT and
other departments to manage data collection, storage, and
processing.
- Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis and market
research to identify new opportunities and trends in the ecommerce
space.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams such as
marketing, product development, and operations to ensure
data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide data-driven support for special
projects and initiatives as needed.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data on consumer
demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits across DTC and
dropship channels. Analyze data using statistical tools and
software to identify trends and insights.
- Campaign Performance: Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing
campaigns and strategies. Provide recommendations for optimizing
marketing efforts based on performance data.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports to marketing teams and
senior management. Use data visualization tools to communicate
findings clearly.
- Customer Insights: Develop customer profiles and segments to
better target marketing efforts. Analyze customer feedback and
satisfaction data.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics,
Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a data analysis role,
preferably within an ecommerce or retail environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and
software, specifically Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft
PowerBI
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the
ability to analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights.
Ability to comprehensively understand relevant industries, consumer
mindsets, and seasonal trends.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills with the ability to present data insights clearly to both
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify), 1st Party,
& 3rd data providers
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels (SEM, SEO,
Retention, Paid, Programmatic).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI

- Location: Draper, UT - Candidates must be willing to relocate
if not currently local.
- Work Schedule: Hybrid position requiring in-office work on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
