available. Director of Sales and Business Development D-tect
Systems, a subsidiary of VPI Technology Group (VPI), is seeking a
dedicated Director of Sales and Business Development to work in its
Draper, Utah office. This position will build and manage the sales
team, develop and manage distribution channels, and identify and
pursue new business opportunities for D-tect's line of radiation
detection devices and services, including the RDS products
VPI/D-tect has developed for the US government. The ideal candidate
will be well-organized, energetic, and passionate about promoting
and selling D-tect products. This is a full-time, salaried,
non-commission job opportunity. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required with a technology emphasis
- Significant management experience highly preferred
- US citizenship required due to the sensitivity of
customer-related requirements
- Must qualify for US security clearance at time of hire
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 subject to such exceptions
as required by law
- 3-5+ years' experience in a sales or business development role
preferred
- Channel sales/management highly preferred
- Significant experience in the radiation detection industry
highly preferred
- Experience in developing long-term relationships Other

- Relationship-based business development experience is highly
valued (as opposed to transactional selling)
- Passion for hunting for new opportunities
- Outside and inside sales experience
- Strong communication skills via phone and email
- Strong project management and continuous improvement
skills
- Organized with great attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel, and
PowerPoint
- Strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere
- High degree of professionalism and maturity with ability to
work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited
supervision
- Positive approach and outlook in interpersonal interactions and
communications
- Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
- Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and
procedures
- Work in a fast-paced environment, and multitask on a variety of
projects
- Customer service obsession, with willingness to do what it
takes to satisfy customer needs
- High degree of integrity and ethics
- Department of Defense and government proposal experience is
desirable Job -Responsibilities
- Develop potential business opportunities in commercial and
government markets, both domestically and internationally; contact
potential customers and develop business relationships
- Develop and manage product distributors and resellers
- Sell D-tect's product line and services
- Effectively communicate D-tect's capabilities and
offerings
- Identify new product opportunities
- Manage existing product roadmaps and lifecycles based on market
conditions and feedback
- Manage relationships with existing customers and potential
customers
- Prepare, write, and submit proposals, review proposals of
others, respond to requests for information in verbal,
presentation, and written forms
- Manage business development efforts and customer project tasks
as assigned
- Take a balanced approach at representing D-tect positively at
trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, potential customer
interactions, and any meetings
- Make recommendations on marketing activities and
approaches
- 10% to 20% travel may be required
