We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join their growing team!Join us, learn the business, and grow your career here at Performance Logistics! - Utilize business development skills to identify, qualify and develop relationships with prospective customers and independently generate new revenue. - Sourcing and securing freight and customers by any method including but not limited to; current book of business, past contacts, internet searches, website leads, manufacturing guides, CRM leads, social media contacts, and customer referrals. - Work diligently to develop and master industry and sales knowledge, including prospecting, pipeline development, closing business, managing accounts, and market conditions. - As the primary contact for our customers, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between the customer and DCL. You will need to provide excellent customer service skills, communicating through phone, email, and in person. - Grow existing accounts by sourcing and securing new opportunities from within each customer. - Develop committed business with $5,000+ net revenue per week. - Tracking and maintaining all sales prospecting activity in the company CRM (Salesforce). - Ensure accurate data capture, data integrity and system entry in all customer-related functions in company TMS (McLeod) - Effectively utilize data and problem-solving skills to proactively resolve customer issues. - Monitor all current customer freight and proactively solve potential issues. - Travel as required. - Other duties as assigned.What's Great About This Opportunity: - Competitive Base Salary & Commission Compensation - Choose from multiple health / medical insurance options, ranging from a high deductible base HDHP to a lower-deductible PPO. Biweekly employee contributions start at $70 biweekly for an employee-only plan and increase based on coverage and dependents. - Pet insurance for your furry family members! - Dental and Vision Insurance - Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Life insurance, long-term and short-term disability - 401k Retirement Plan - Paid Holidays and PTO Package - Work with a great team in a fast-paced and fun office environment - Clear path and opportunity for growth and advancement in a healthy, essential business!Responsibilities: - Utilize business development skills to identify, qualify and develop relationships with prospective carriers and independently build carrier relationships. - Leverage the technology platform along with other data sources to source carrier services including current book of business, past contacts, internet searches, website leads, CRM leads, social media contacts, sales agent leads and other carrier referrals. - Be the primary contact with carriers, responsible for managing the relationship. - Maintain constant contact with carriers (average 75-100+ touch points a day) to prospect and secure additional capacity into existing book of business. - Developing potential strategic carrier following for dedicated business. - Manage performance expectations through carrier scorecard metrics. - Have a broad knowledge of truck markets/pricing and negotiate rates with carriers. - Collaborate with team on procurement details to ensure most effective solutions to customers and our carrier partners. - Provide feedback to team on carrier rates submitted. - Ensure accurate data capture, data integrity and system entry in all carrier related functions. - Effectively utilize data and problem-solving skills to proactively resolve carrier issues. - Monitor and track all loads to ensure details are accurately communicated and proactively identify potential problems. - Support other departments as required regarding your carriers.Qualifications: - Excellent customer service skills including responsiveness and problem-solving - Action-oriented, enthusiastic, resilient, professionally persistent, and highly motivated - Strong negotiating skills; able to persuade, motivate and influence others in an ethical manner - Excellent telephone communication skills - End-user computer skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftSupplemental pay types:* Commission payWork Location: One location
