Description Job Title: Quality Technician Position Reports to:
Quality Manager Status: Full-Time Schedule/Hours Expectation: 40
Hours Location: Gunnison, Utah Position Summary A Quality
Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the
necessary quality standards before they reach the consumer. This
role involves inspecting, testing, and analyzing products at
various stages of production to ensure they meet company and
regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician plays a crucial
role in maintaining product consistency and quality. Key
Responsibilities 1. Inspection and Testing: - Conduct routine
inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished
goods. - Perform tests using specialized equipment to ensure
products meet quality standards. 2. Data Collection and Analysis: -
Record and analyze test results and inspection data. - Identify
trends and discrepancies in data, and report findings to the
Quality Manager. 3. Documentation: - Maintain detailed and accurate
records of inspections and tests. - Prepare quality reports and
documentation for internal and external use. 4. Compliance: -
Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulatory
requirements. - Stay updated with changes in regulations and
quality standards. 5. Problem Solving: - Identify defects or
quality issues and determine the root cause. - Recommend corrective
actions and process improvements to prevent recurrence. 6.
Equipment Calibration and Maintenance: - Ensure testing equipment
is properly calibrated and maintained. - Troubleshoot and resolve
equipment issues as needed. 7. Training and Support: - Provide
training to production staff on quality standards and procedures. -
Support other departments in quality-related matters.
Qualifications: 1. Education: - High school diploma or equivalent
required. - Certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a
related field preferred. 2. Experience: - Previous experience in
quality control or a similar role preferred. - Familiarity with
inspection techniques and testing equipment. 3. Skills: - Strong
attention to detail and analytical skills. - Proficient in using
measuring tools and quality testing equipment. - Good understanding
of quality control standards and methodologies. - Basic computer
skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. -
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 4.
Attributes: - Strong problem-solving abilities and critical
thinking skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a
team. - High level of integrity and commitment to quality. - Good
organizational and time-management skills. Working Conditions: -
Typically works in a manufacturing or laboratory environment. - May
require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. -
Full-time position, with potential for shift work depending on
